Description
Appellant, Lindsey Keith Tays, appeals pursuant to Rule 37(b)(1)(i), Tenn. R. Crim. P. The singular issue presented is whether
the trial court erred in refusing to suppress evidence seized pursuant to the warrantless arrest of the appellant and the
subsequent search of his vehicle. After the trial court's ruling on the suppression issue, the appellant entered a plea of
guilty to the charge of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver or sell. Finding no error,
we affirm the judgment of the trial court. Craig Jones, an officer with the Metropolitan police Department, testified that he received information from an informant
that a man was supplying large amounts of Dilaudid to dealers throughout the city of Nashville. The informant explained to
the officer that this individual would routinely travel to Chicago one weekend a month and bring back a large quantity of
the drug. At the time this information was given to Officer Jones, the informant only identified this individual by the name
of Keith.
